No video of the event yet, sorry!

After getting into beekeeping a few years ago, I expected to get stung a lot and eat some natural, raw honey. What I didn’t expect was how much the structure of a healthy hive mirrors the challenges we face in our work and personal lives.

In this talk, I’ll briefly explain how a hive actually works, the different roles bees play, and why those roles matter. From there, we’ll connect what happens inside a hive to Mike Michalowicz’s idea of the Queen Bee Role (QBR)—the work that only you can do, and what tends to break when that work gets crowded out by everything else.

No beekeeping experience (or suits) required—just curiosity and a willingness to look at familiar problems from a different angle.
